Soil and erosion
In order to quickly determine areas at risk of erosion, ACMG has innovated by using radar satellite images which allow observation of territories under all weather conditions and over large areas.
Four land uses are determined in order to target areas at potential risk, plots of bare soil are positioned on the slopes of the watersheds to quantify the risk.
The ACMG studies the risk areas over time in order to quantify the risk locally.
The methodology was developed as part of the Interreg RiskAquaSoil project and will be automated and integrated into the Sudoe ClimAlert project.
True sources of quantitative and qualitative data, these maps will be optimized in the future with the orientation of flows.
